RCIS 2026 features a track entirely devoted to presenting future or ongoing research projects (e.g., H2020 or ERC projects, national grants) on topics related to information science. This track features a great opportunity for presenters to get feedback before submitting a research project or to disseminate the intermediate results of their projects, and for participants to get an updated view of innovative ongoing research while getting in touch with potential research partners.
The Research Projects @RCIS Track follows a two-step publication process. Firstly, the authors should submit a short paper (6 pages) or a long paper (up to 10 pages) summarizing the project's objectives and relevant results. Each submission will be peer reviewed on the relevance of the submitted paper in the context of RCIS. If the paper is accepted, the authors must register for the conference to present their work at the “Research Projects @ RCIS” session at RCIS. Furthermore, the accepted papers will be published in a CEUR-WS proceedings volume together with workshops papers. The papers are to be formatted in the 1-column CEUR-ART style (http://ceur-ws.org/HOWTOSUBMIT.html).
Beyond the special topic for RCIS 2026, the conference welcomes Research Projects submissions from any domain of Information Science relevant to RCIS 2026.
The types of projects that are eligible for presentation in this track are manifold:
